We are very happy to offer you the following pre-conference workshops

We would like to invite researchers, professionals, designers, and industry practitioners to propose and organize pre conference workshops at the 41st eCAADe conference in Graz Austria.
The goal is to build up an intense teaching environment and an insight discussion with small groups of participants.
The Workshops will be held on September 18-19 2023.
The conference hosts are providing necessary infrastructure, the workshop leaders are responsible for hosting and organizing their offered workshop themselves.
Workshop leaders have an opportunity to share their original research and practical development experiences on specific new challenges and emerging issues of architectural and design computing.
They will offer participants possibilities of theoretical and hands-on software experiences on defined research/practice topics.
The workshop topics ought to be relevant to the conference theme and tracks, most preferably discuss and address matters in AI, ML, AR+VR, Genetic Algorithms, Bio-inspired Computational Design,
Generative Design, Analysis + Simulation, Optimization, Smart Data Applications, Human-Robot and Human-Machine Collaborations.
For this call the conference hosts will judge the proposals and chose a total of 6 workshops taking into consideration:
the relevance of the topic regarding the Conference theme
the experience of the workshop leaders
the workshop program envisaged outcomes and goals

including the necessary practical details on length (half day, full day), space requirements, number of participants
The call closes on June 15th 2023
You will receive feedback by July 1st 2023
Participation at the workshops will be free but does not include a free conference participation, neither for participants nor for workshop leaders.
PhD WORKSHOP
eCAADe announces the 11th eCAADe grant for young researchers.
We invite young researchers studying in Europe who have not yet received the eCAADe grant, never presented at an eCAADe conference
and will not present at eCAADe 2023 in Graz eCAADe 2023 to submit their approved PHD proposal and a motivation statement
(together min. 500 to max. 1000 words). The PhD has to be in the wide field of computational technologies in research and education for architecture and related profession.
You will attend a pre-conference PHD workshop where you will present your work and discuss with experienced colleagues.
The Workshop is most valuable for PhD students in the earlier stages of the work and NOT mainly intended to be a presentation of an already finished PhD.
The Workshop 2023 will be held at the eCAADe conference in Graz/Austria on Tuesday 19/09/2023. The grant consists of a subsidy of up to 500 Euro to cover your
travel expenses and of a special students registration to eCAADe 2023 to attend the conference afterwards.

PS: Note that "local students" that are resident or studying in Graz can apply for the grant but will receive no travel subsidy!
